Ingredients

Scale

Slider Ingredients

  • 12 soft slider buns, sliced horizontally
  • 6 slices thinly sliced ham
  • 6 slices thinly sliced turkey
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mustard or Dijon

Batter

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Pinch of salt

For Frying and Serving

  • 2 tablespoons butter or oil, for frying
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
  • Raspberry or strawberry jam, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Gather all sliced ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese. Slice the slider buns horizontally. In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, and a pinch of salt to create a smooth batter for dipping.
  2. Assemble the Sliders: Spread a thin layer of mustard or Dijon inside each bun. Layer ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese between the top and bottom halves of each slider bun. Press each slider gently to compact the layers.
  3. Dip in Egg Batter: Carefully dip each assembled slider into the egg and milk mixture, coating both sides evenly. Allow excess batter to drip off to prevent sogginess during cooking.
  4. Pan-Fry Until Golden: Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place the dipped sliders in the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until the batter is golden brown, cheese is melted, and bread is crispy but not burnt.
  5. Serve Warm: Remove sliders from the skillet. Optionally dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately with raspberry or strawberry jam or your preferred dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Use fresh, high-quality deli meats and cheese for best flavor.
  • Dip sliders briefly in batter to avoid soggy bread.
  • Cook on medium heat to ensure crispy exterior and melted cheese.
  • Let sliders rest 1-2 minutes after cooking to help set shape.
  • Experiment with different mustards for added flavor variations.
